Sometime back the BYKR BROZ learned of a young lady, Poppy (Wahaisia Solomon), who was struggling with a cancer diagnosis that sounded pretty serious- osteosarcoma. She had expressed a desire to ride on a Harley so the BYKR BROZ arranged an event and about 20 of us rolled in to pick her up for her maiden voyage. By the end of the day she had won the hearts of our entire club.

Poppy’s positive outlook and silly disposition were just what we needed to soften our sometimes rough-appearing exteriors. Several benefit rides and events later, Poppy was deeply ingrained in the very soul of the BYKR BRO organization, far more than any of us would have ever imagined.

Unfortunately for all of us, Poppy’s ride came to an end on October 15, 2017. This marked the end of her courageous and hard fought battle. The BYKR BROZ will NEVER forget what Poppy has done for us and will always miss the smiles and grace of our Honorary BYKR BRO, Poppy.
